Background Information: Deborah Sampson was born on December 17, 1760. She lived in Plimpton, Massachusetts. As she lived there she was poor and her father abandoned her family. Then she went to live with her neighbors. When she grew up she became a teacher.
Accomplishments:Deborah Sampson contributed to our freedom because she dressed up as a man and went into war. Her role in the Revolution was being a soldier.

I think a fifth grader should learn about this patriot because she is very interesting because she dressed up as a man just to fight for her country.
